Program Overview
The Respiratory Therapy AAS program is designed to prepare students to function as a professional respiratory therapist in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics. Respiratory Therapists perform respiratory care procedures, including patient evaluation, treatment selection and assessment of treatment, and are involved in clinical decision-making and patient education.
Accreditation
McHenry County College is currently in the process of seeking CoARC accreditation for a respiratory care program. However, McHenry County College can provide no assurance that accreditation will be granted by the CoARC.
